The University of Birmingham Portal – www.my.bham.ac.uk – is the place to find the online information and services that are appropriate to you in your role at Birmingham. It is a tailored web environment available to all those who study, conduct research, or work at the University.
my.bham is a password-protected area of the University’s online presence. It offers security for personal information, as well as a single-entry point to areas of intranet content and online data sources that were previously hosted in disparate places, often with several different passwords.
Each person that logs into my.bham gains convenient access to content that is appropriate for their role – eg as a student or as a member of staff. The user is presented with a standard set of content for their role, but they also have the means to customise what they see in the portal by adding or removing areas of content ('channels') using simple tools.
If you are a user of my.bham and have a question or problem, please look first at our Frequently Asked Questions pages.
To make a suggestion for new content, to report a broken link, or for problem with logging-in, please contact the IT Service Desk.
